Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has praised the side after battling to victory on Saturday at Larkhall.

Largs were dominant in the first half but passed up a glut of opportunities after Graham Muir's sixth minute strike.

It was a different story in the second half as Larkhall created a number of dangerous chances late in the match, as the Barrfields side had to hold on for maximum points.

Stuart said: "It was an excellent result. We started on the front foot, and winning second balls, and had a right good grip of the game. We created a lot of chances, and it was a great finish from Muiry. I felt we really couldn't ask any more of the guys.

"We hung on in the end, but I felt we earned out luck after the work we put into the game. There were a couple of decisions which went against us, but we managed to deal with it, and I think we fully deserved the win at the end."
