The all new and inclusive Inverclyde Sports Centre is celebrating its first anniversary, and recently linking up with the new Largs Campus and also hosts a diverse range of community sport.
The aim of the column is to give you an idea of the different groups who are visiting the centre, and interesting events and activities taking place at the centre.
· The centre was buzzing last week with over 100 primary school children staying here for their P7 residential trips. The centre said hello to Loudoun Montgomery, James Hamilton and St John’s Primaries for the week, here at Inverclyde and over with our sister centre on Cumbrae to take part in cycling and water sports.
·This week the sports centre welcomes Auchinleck, Ballantrae, Colmonell, Bargarren and St Palladius Primaries and pupils from Holyrood Secondary in Glasgow and for a change, the weather forecast is looking great for an action packed week.
· The sports centre is really excited to welcome new guests to the centre this coming weekend, the Scottish Powerchair Football Association. Teams from across Scotland are attending the centre and staying for a weekend of training and also referee talent identification. The sports centre will share the news and photos from this visit next week but we are delighted to be the host for this weekend.
