BULLISH Largs manager Stuart Davidson believes his side can upset Scottish Cup champions Auchinleck in Saturday's massive league opener against Auchinleck.
It is a 2pm kick-off at Barrfields Park, and the manager wants all supporters to turn out in their droves and get behind Thistle.
Davidson, who won the Scottish Cup and league medals with Talbot in the past as a player, said: " I feel ready, I feel the team is ready for it, and we are looking forward to it. We are favourites to go back down, but we are looking to surprise a few people.
"We have a more settled team, and I am confident we can maybe cause a wee surprise or two, and it is at this stage of the season when sides are still settling in that we could pull it off.
"I know the threat that Auchinleck can pose. They have some very good players, and I know where they will hurt us and I hope that we can combat that.
"I hope that the Largs supporters can turn out in force as Auchinleck will certainly bring big numbers. We are playing some really good football and have scored some great goals and that is the way the team is set up to play."
