Thistle assistant boss Martin Crawford believes the players received a harsh lesson after dropping valuable points at home to Cumnock on Saturday.
Largs didn't see the game out despite leading 2-0, and 3-1, and were actually hanging on for a point at the end as the away team were mounting some late attacks.
However, there is a chance to make amends as Largs in eleventh spot head to Glasgow on Saturday to face Petershill who sit in 14th spot.
Thistle will have to do without the services of keeper Blair Cousar who has badly hurt his ankle and midfielder Ryan McKie who suffered a broken knee in the recent Kilbirnie clash.
Gary Fleming is returning to fitness though, although speedy forward John Carter is still a few weeks away from fitness.
Crawford said: "Petershill have not stepped up fully and there seem to be some vulnerabilities there.
"We will soon find the cracks with the way we play.
"We go down the widths, and can play through the middle, and get in the crosses, and we will certainly be ready and up for the game."
