I was pleased to see that Largs got a much needed win on Saturday at Petershill which is normally a tough place to go for a result.
After throwing away a two goal lead against Cumnock, and losing at Hurlford, the heat was on.
Largs now host Renfrew on Saturday, and it is another big game for the Barrfields club.
Thistle will want to get their first home win of the season. Renfrew have been struggling this season, even conceding four to Johnstone Burgh.
However, their 5-1 victory over Irvine Meadow at the weekend was a surprise result.
I think Largs are capable of winning that match, and this is an important month of the season, as after Renfrew, Largs host Meadow before the Scottish Junior Cup.
Thistle need to continue to get points on the board.
When you look at the Premier league, they are probably the 16 best teams in the West, it is what you would expect.
Another promoted team Cambuslang seem to have made a decent start to the season, and are sitting in seventh spot.
Following the Scotland games, it is back to the domestic league campaign in Scotland this weekend.
Celtic losing Dembele is a blow - they only really have two strikers now.
You would think it is a bit of a worry for the Parkhead side going into their Europa Cup campaign.
Hearts are top of the Scottish Premier. They have achieved some great results winning at Killie, and beating Celtic at home. Naysmith seems to have settled in well and has been in amongst the goals.
Celtic signing Youssouf Mulumbu was a good move. I saw Mulumbu with Killie play against Rangers and he was very impressive.
Hibs losing to Livingston was a big shock - it was a great start for new manager Gary Holt.
I listened to the radio interview with Neil Lennon afterwards, and fully expected him to go off on one, but no, he gave a very calm reflection on the match, although I am sure he was very disappointed.
And the Premiership is proving to be as unpredictable as ever - how can Tottenham Hotspur go from a 3-0 win at Manchester United to losing 2-1 at Watford. Answers on a postcard please.
Manchester United have had a mixed start to the season. Supposedly Jose Mourinho tried to sign Christian Ronaldo and it was knocked back.
Another team that is flying high in the Championship is Leeds United. They have a new manager and new owners and seem to have a totally different outlook, and sometimes that can work wonders.
Liverpool had made a very strong start too, and after their Champion League exploits last season, could be very difficult to knock off their perch. Chelsea and an unfamiliar name in Watford have also made 100% starts.
