Largs Colts were recently presented with an award from the SFA to retain Standard level “Quality Mark” club status for next three years.

Eddie Mrozinski and George Waldron from Largs Colts are seen being presented with the award at a recent awards ceremony at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock FC.

The Colts were first awarded Quality Mark accreditation in 2012, so this award was after the Colts successfully demonstrated they had maintained all the requirements of being a well-run and properly managed club.

The SFA had strict criteria to establish that the correct ethos was in place to promote and run youth football - to the benefits of the community - and that this was backed up with a structure and documentation to support our team of volunteer coaches and officials. The award is recognition for the efforts of the officials and coaches for all age brackets teams, from 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007’s (U17 to U9’s), that make up the Largs Colts FC Community Club.

The Colts are looking to establish new teams for players born in 2008, 2009 & 2010 in the coming seasons. The Colts committee say they are very keen to hear from anyone interested to join their ranks as a volunteer (at any of these age brackets).

Whether you are an aspiring coach or if you think you can help out with some admin or just general parental support, contact club chairman Eddie Mrozinski (mrozinski@hotmail.com), or any of the other Colts committee members or coaches, if you feel you can contribute and help the Colts to continue to serve the community.
