Largs manager Stuart Davidson has praised super stopper Ross Lundy in the Thistle goal after he played his part in helping the Barrfields side to get their first clean sheet of the season.

The Thistle boss said he was delighted that Largs got their first clean sheet in a long time on Saturday, and said: “Last season, we started well defensively, and we didn’t concede a lot of goals before Christmas. The full team was working for each other on Saturday and put in a great shift, we were very resilient.
“Ross Lundy made a couple of great saves, and in recent weeks he has not been getting the reward for that."

Ross, who won a hat-trick of awards at last season's Player of the Year event, also saved a penalty against Troon. See clip below.

Stuart added: "It has been a testing situation for Ross with his baby Dawson, but I do believe things are improving, and it is testament to Ross and his partner Carla that he has been coming to football, and putting in the commitment, as obviously it has been very tough."

It is a 2pm kick-off at Valefield Park on Saturday as Largs face Kilbirnie Ladeside.
