Largs Academy staff and pupils faced off each other at Barrfields Park in a football match.

And as pupil Ryan Scott's photographs show, it was played in a highly competitive spirit with big celebrations for some of the goals!

PE teacher Alan Sturrock is pictured leading the celebrations after one of the goals during the entertaining contest, which was well attended by local pupils.

But it was the schoolboys who had the last laugh with a 3-1 victory. Funds were raised on the day for the Largs Academy Malawi trip, through entry fee and a tuck shop

And it always helps when the sun is shining for the contest which was immensely enjoyed by all who attended.

The goalscorers for the pupils were James Wilson, Jack Rafferty and Jack Loudon (pro-Morton youth) on the volley, with goalkeeper Mr Beattie scoring from the penalty spot for the teachers.
