Largs Colts 5 Kilwinning 4

Barrfields with a bit of rain led to a slick surface which threw up an entertaining game with nine goals shared between Colts and Kilwinning Rangers.

Dec Meechan broke away down the left flank with his cross cleared into the path of Adam Brown, who finished with into the keeper's far left.

The Buffs came back into the game scoring an equaliser then another from a well taken free kick.

Colts scored again but unfortunately it was a header beyond their own keeper Irwin.

Craig Loudon beat 3 Buffs players and finished with style and composure to get Colts back in it, although it was short lived with another Buffs goal from a decent run down the left with the striker firing across goal for another player to slide in back post to finish.

Colts need to stop conceding these soft goals making it hard for themselves.

Half time brought 3 changes with Marc Quinn being introduced along with right-back Kian Murdoch and midfielder Lewis Florence.

Ben Robson was also introduced into the action in the second half,

Jack Loudon scored with a lovely free kick into the top corner on his debut, and Colts kept up the pressure and Brown scored another to level matters,

Credit to Colts who pushed right till the end and won it with seconds to go with a Buffs own goal.

Coaches MOTM goes to Craig Loudon for another great goal and a solid defensive performance also.

Colts Manager Andy Smith said “Our boys played very well, never gave up and tried football until the end, showed great character. Support from parents was excellent, cheers guys!”
