There might not have been any junior football games at the weekend but Largs Thistle were still put through their paces at the Barrfields 3G.

A training session took place on Saturday as Largs prepare for their forthcoming league games, and there was plenty of fun to be had including a snowball fight.

The all weather surface meant that Largs were able to train following 'The Beast from the East' which initially caused a whiteout at the all weather pitch before beginning to thaw.

Thanks to Ryan Scott Photography for braving the conditions to bring us the photos from Saturday's practice session. As you can see from the photos, the players were in good spirits despite the ice cold conditions surrounding the park.

Largs also learnt their full fixture schedule for the next five weeks, heading to Irvine Meadow on 10 March, Troon (A) on 17 March, Kilsyth (H) on 24 March, Cambuslang at home in the 2nd round of the West of Scotland Cup on 31 March, and Shettleston (A) on 7 April. All these games are a 2pm kick-off.

There are 24 points up for grabs as Largs enter their last eight league games of the season, and their home league match against Cambuslang, abandoned in January at half-time, has yet to be rescheduled, while Largs also have yet to travel to Cambuslang.
