Largs Colts win league and cup

Largs Colts Under 17 team (1992"s) completed their league campaign by recording their 13th league win of the season (with only 2 losses in 16 games) in a fine 8-1 demolition of Dreghorn. The result clinched a share of the West of Scotland 17"s B league with Carrick 17"s.

Largs would have emerged as outright winners if the league officials allowed either a head to head or goal difference scenario to count, so the share of the league title was the least the team deserved after a long hard season.

There was still time for more drama before the end of the season, however, and on Sunday, June 14, Largs completed a fine double winning season with a fantastic CYP ScotWest Cup Final victory against Clydebank BC at Dam Park, Ayr.
