Largs Thistle manger Bryan Slavin has said that his players are raring to go for his management home debut at Barrfields on Saturday against Cumbernauld United, 2pm kick-off.
The game was initially set for Cumbernauld but after several recent postponements, both clubs agreed to switch the game to the all weather surface at Largs. Bryan said: “I spoke to our secretary Morag Souttar and she had spoken to Cumbernauld who were willing to change the fixture. I am glad that it has been cemented, rather than having to wait till Friday evening/Saturday morning to see whether it is on or not. It is much better to get it sorted out now.
“The boys are definitely ready for it and everyone is champing at the bit. We had a pretty hard training session on Monday night and the boys were right at it, and the tempo was great. They are working really hard, and there were even a good couple of flashpoints due to tackles going in which, from my point of view, was good to see. The boys are on edge, and I’d be worried if the boys were not showing passion in training. We are definitely up for the Cumbernauld game.”
