Largs AFC boss Stephen Quigg is urging his side to carry on their excellent form as they head to fellow title contendors Hurlford on Saturday for a 2pm kick-off.
The former Thistle Scottish Cup winner was sked to take over the reigns at the club at the start of the season, and has instilled a hard working ethic, and a solid springboard for players coming up through the Largs football system.
He said: ““It is good that there is an amateur team back in Largs where young players who have featured for Colts under 17s and 19s can have somewhere after to go and play, where there is a good standard. The whole intention is give the boys an opportunity to play at a decent level.” Quigg, who lives in Largs, also welcomed Thistle President Martin Phillips’ hopes of forging stronger links between the two sides, and said: “He has been true to his word, and genuinely wants the best for football in Largs at all levels, and that is something we should all aim towards.” There is a full interview with Stephen Quigg in this week's Largs and Millport News.
