The Haylie House Fun Run took place in glorious conditions on Saturday morning, starting at Magnus the statue on the esplanade.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who took part in the family event - there was a choice of 5km or 10km along Largs prom. Runners, walkers, cyclists, rollerskaters (thanks to the Largs Roller Coasters) a couple of family pets, and some wheelchairs - everyone was welcome!
Organiser Gary Ennis said: “It was a cracking day, and we raised over £500 and counting.” The winner of the 5k in 27 minutes was Andrew Boyle of Douglas Street, Largs, but the winner of the 10k event was not so straight forward!
A Facebook appeal went out after the winner in 1st place completed the event - but ran off before organisers could get his name and details - but he was thankfully tracked down.
Gary added: “Through the power of social media - we’ve found our man! Take a bow Colin Whitby - winner of our 10km race at the weekend.”
