Another successful Pro Am was held at Largs Golf Club of Friday 22 May, co-sponsored this year by Harry Fairbairn BMW and E.G. Chauffeur Hire.

Thanks go to Russell Borrie of Harry Fairbairn BMW and Paul Kenny of EG Chauffeur Hire for their generous sponsorship.

The success of the day was due to the hard work of Roy Murray and his staff at the PGA along with the Pro-Am committee of Club Professional Andy Fullen, Doreen Reid the Club Captain, Fraser Innes, Brian Fisher and Neil Hunter whose efforts were very much appreciated.

A total of 26 professionals and their teams took part in the event and our thanks go to the team sponsors and players without whom the event would not have taken place.

The competition was played in a very sporting but competitive manner in reasonable weather conditions. The professionals and players complimented Largs Golf Club and their greens staff for the excellent condition of the course and for the hospitality extended by the club.

Thanks are due to Ian Barr the Head Greenkeeper and his staff for their hard work sometimes under extreme weather conditions, and also to the Chef and his staff for the purvey.
