Largs Ladies notched up a superb victory last Wednesday evening as they became the first team to defeat Prestwick 1 this season.
The ladies were Margaret Gibson and Hazel Koerner, Sue Wilkie and Lesley MacLellan, and Anne McIntyre and Morcella Taylor. It is the first time that the Largs Ladies have beaten Prestwick in many years and was an excellent win in their return to the top division.
Largs Gents 1 match at Ayr was called off last Thursday due to heavy rain which benefitted Largs 2 who were able to take Andy Auld from the first team, and he featured with Ian Armstrong for a 2-1 win. The Gents won 6-3 overall with Calum Corral and David Purdon, and Peter Galbraith and Crawford Boyd. Largs Gents 2 are due to play against Troon 2 in a redscheduled fixture on Tuesday evening and need two wins from their last two games to stay in the third division.
