Largs Ladies 1 team secured an excellent win in the sunshine while managing to top up their tan on Sunday afternoon at Douglas Park.
It was hotter than at Roland Garros as the local ladies managed to defeat Prestwick 7-2. The teams were Sue Wilkie (Captain) and Hazel Koerner, Lesley MacLellan and daughter Sarah Cunningham, and Mary Lunday and Anne McIntyre. The ladies are still gunning for promotion back to the top division, and have a promotion play-off next Wednesday.

It was a tough week for the Gents as their promotion chances were dented against a strong Coylton outfit with an 8-1 defeat on the rubber surface last Thursday evening. The team were Malcolm McAulay and Lewis McAulay, Andy Auld (captain) and Ian McShane, and Derek Ballantine and David Anton.
The Largs 2 team secured their first point of the season at Douglas Park against Ayr 3 after winning by five sets to four, but losing two matches to one. The teams were Calum Corral and Iain Armstrong, Alan McEwing and Morgan Reid, Andy Jones (Captain) and Paul Ashmead.
