Largs tennis captain Sue Wilkie led from the front for Sunday’s big masters clash at home to Coylton on Sunday.
After heavy rain overnight, Sue spent 90 minutes rolling and sponging the red blaes courts to ensure they were playable for the match at 2pm.
And the match did indeed take place, although was interrupted for showers, but it was proved worthwhile, as Largs won by six sets to love to give them a tilt at the trophy.. Sue added afterwards: “It’s harder work rolling the courts than playing a match!” The teams were Sue Wilkie and Malcolm McAulay, and Hazel Koerner and Derek Ballantyne.
