Largs Ladies tennis teams both recorded some good victories during the past week.
Largs Ladies 1 team defeated Coylton at home last Wednesday evening. The team were Sue Wilkie and Hazel Koerner, Lesley MacLellan and Sarah Cunningham. Anne Armstrong and Mary Lunday. And Largs 2 team recorded a 2-1 victory at Stewarton’s all weather courts. The team were Nancy Bunyan and Claire Byers, Janie McKenzie and Chris Reekie, and Margaret Gibson and Linda Cowden (skipper).
Largs Ladies 1 team narrowly lost their rescheduled tie at Carrick 1 by five sets to four.
Largs 1 Gents side also bagged an important win to overcome Coylton 1 at Douglas Park. Malcolm McAuley and Lewis McAulay won 2-1 and Gavin McLellan and David Anton won 3-0. Derek Ballantyne and skipper Andy Auld lost 3-0.
