Largs Gents tennis 2 off the mark!

Largs Gents 2 team got off the mark in the Ayrshire Fourth Division with a narrow 5-4 sets victory at Troon 3.

Captain Calum Corral and David Purdon won 7-6. 6-3. 6-3, while Alan Sturrock and David Anton also won their tie 7-6, 4-6, 6-4, and David Corr and Alan McEwing lost in straight sets 7-6 6-2 6-1.

Largs Gents 1st team had their match against Ayr 1 postponed after Douglas Park was again flooded during the day but poor drainage meant it was unavailable for the evening fixture despite glorious sunshine.

Largs Ladies 1 suffered a comprehensive defeat to league favourites Prestwick and Symington 1 in the Ayrshire First Division. The team were Sue Wilkie, Lesley MacLellan (Captain), Hazel Koerner, Nancy Bunyan, Morcella Taylor and Margaret Gibson.
