It was a dramatic first half for Largs Thistle v Arthurlie with two goals and three red cards.

Things opened promisingly for Largs with on loan Morton man Alex McWaters curling home from 12 yards after an impressive build up.

McWaters had a great chance to put Largs 2-0 up but the ball finished up over the bar.

Palmer of Arthurlie and Robert Love for Largs both saw red after an off the ball incident on 25 minutes.

Arthurlie levelled on 38 minutes as McGregor's threaded pass found the on-rushing Nimmo to drill home.

But on 48 minutes, Nicky Jamieson converted from six yards to put Largs 2-1 up.

McMaster made it 3-1 as he blasted home from six yards but Arthurlie hit back after an own goal with Fleming getting the final touch.

And on 62 minutes, former Arthurlie striker James Marks made it 4-2 as he muscled past a defender to score. Marks nearly made it five as he blazed though but his shot was smothered by the keeper.

On 75 minutes, Arthurlie's Curran headed home at the left post.

Can Largs hold on despite their numerical disadvantage?

Yes, is the answer, as Largs dramatically battled for all three points with both Marks and Kevin Struthers clean through but prevented by important stops.

Five minutes of injury time were played as Arthurlie came close twice in a dramatic finale, but Thistle achieved their first league win after nine games in the Premier.
