Thistle boss Stuart Davidson felt Largs were good enough to get a share of the spoils on Saturday, and need to keep thinking positively.

Largs are desperate to get back to winning ways at Hurlford in the McBookie.com Premier Division, 1.45pm kick-off.

"Hurlford had had a bad spell of games but they battled back from 2-0 down on Saturday to beat Arthurlie 5-4." said Stuart, "It is always tough in this league, and it is all about getting the points on the board, and making it tough for our opponents. It is all about how we play.

"I know there is talk about trying to get our first away win - and we are going to have a few games away coming up - but as far as I am concerned, we have to block out whether it is home or away, we have to go into each game positively and get the points on the board."

Forward Kevin Struthers was ill on Saturday and unavailable for selection, but keeper Ross Lundy should be back after attending a wedding, while midfielder Gary Fleming (2 games) and striker Robert Love (1 game) are still suspended. Skilful winger Matt Bennett could be in a contention for a starting place after impressing when coming off the bench. Legendary 'Theesel' keeper Stephen Connick was listed on the bench on Saturday as a precaution.

Responding to Thistle's 1-0 defeat to Cumnock, Stuart said: "It was hard to tell if it was a fluke goal or not - it flew right into the top corner, and it was unstoppable to be fair. There was nothing Sean Graham could have done about that, and he had a couple of good saves to make. We didn't play our best, and could have been a lot better. I believe we should have got something out of the game, and it was disappointing not to get that equalising goal. It would have been good to keep our momentum going, but the challenge for this weekend is wrestling that momentum back."

"We have scored quite a few goals in our last couple of games, so it is important how we react now, and the boys need to show what they are made of. Sometimes that wee knock can set you back, but it is now about getting our heads back up, and showing that we are up for the fight."

Largs also had a penalty claim turned down, and frustrations boiled over at the end, so Thistle will no doubt be hoping they can get more of the rub of the green when they face up to Hurlford this Saturday at Blair Park.
