Largs Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has praised the Barrfields side for their battling display against Kilwinning.

On Thistle's last two visits to Abbey Park, Thistle have conceded a total of ten goals, so it was extra pleasing for the manager that Largs managed a clean sheet, to help move them off bottom spot.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:

Arnie said: "We knew Kilwinning would be a hard place to go and have terrific players going forward, our defence, midfield, and strikers were terrific, and put in some shift, not forgetting Sean Graham who made some really important saves. The full team did their bit to stop the Buffs from creating chances. In the first half, we got a bit lucky, but from thereon we pushed and we were good going forward and kept a clean sheet which showed great resilience.

"We don't have any superstars in our team, and we need to all pull together to get these results, and our aim now is to continue moving up the table."
