In the introduction, Bryan states: "A visit to Beechwood Park, Auchinleck is rarely a journey which ends with the visiting team leaving with a point, never mind three, but with Tommy Sloan's Talbot team reportedly “on the slide” this season is this Saturday a good time to visit?  I’m not so sure.

"With Talbot lagging a wee bit behind the league leaders they will be every bit as desperate for three points as Largs need to be in the battle to avoid the relegation places.  Also, Talbot have been alleged to have been struggling for the last few seasons yet they have continued to added trophies to cabinet so it appears that reports of their demise have been greatly exaggerated so far..."
