Largs Thistle have put out an appeal for more committee members and volunteers to help the club this coming season.

There is a small band of volunteers behind the scenes from age 14 to 80, and everyone plays their part in making matchday what it is.

With the social bar Thistle cabin, canteen, toilets, and helping with fundraisers, there is jobs for every single kind of supporter, if you can lend a hand.

It is a fulfilling task, and all contributes to boosting Thistle on and off the park, to go for greater goals.

And even if you don't have time to join a committee, many hands make light work, and Largs are always looking for helpers.

However, with the committee short in numbers, people who can regularly attend, and provide experience of help behind the scenes would be much appreciated.

There is a good feel factor behind the scenes at the club with a lot of laughter with the likes of Pat Rall and Tommy Scoullar on the scene - Thistle's very own Jack and Victor, while Largs Academy pupil Ryan Scott is club photographer and also helps man the kitchen, and the ticket kiosk. Paul Laing is the club programme editor, and David Blackwood is running this weekend's Thistle sponsored walk and cycle event on Cumbrae on Sunday (meet at ferry slip at 11am).

Thistle host their AGM at the social cabin at Barrfields Park on Monday July 31, 7.30pm kick-off.

Thistle have frozen their season ticket prices this season, and they are also on sale at Barrfields this Saturday at the friendly against Gartcairn and include three extra league games - Adults £60, Seniors £35, 200 Club members £50.
