Largs Thistle's new assistant boss Martin Crawford is looking forward to this weekend's local derby with Kilbirnie, 2pm kick-off at Barrfields, after winning against Winton in the opening game.
Martin said: "We want to win every game, but the match against Winton had obvious connections with former manager Sandy MacLean in charge, and some former players. We are playing well and the boys are ready.
"We had to change our personnel on the park over the close season, and it was the right thing to do for all people concerned.
"It needed refreshing, and Arnie (manager Stuart Davidson) and myself have been looking to get players in early doors before other clubs. We knew we had to save the goalkeepers and defence, as we have a very solid unit at the back, and we were happy with that, but we felt we needed changes across the midfield and upfront."
"Players had served their time, and had been great servants to the club, and we are grateful for that.
"We wanted to implement a totally different style of play. We have an open flowing playing style for supporters to come and watch.
"There is a really positive atmosphere in the changing room, and we have gelled very well together."
Looking to Saturday's encounter with Kilbirnie, Martin said: "It will be a good test for us with Kilbirnie being so close to home for us, and the local rivalry. Our philosophy is that we want to enter each game with the prime purpose of winning. As soon as we walk out the dressing room, and cross that white line, we want to win every game, and that is the way we go about things."
