Largs Thistle boss Stuart Davidson provided an immediate reaction to the club's draw away to Sauchie in the Scottish Junior Cup 2nd round.

Stuart said: "It is undoubtedly a tough draw, and in the past few seasons Sauchie have been a good side, and it will be a difficult place to go but we have to have confidence in ourselves to go to a place like that. It is a good tie and one that will provide a lot of interest.

"Sauchie have a big reputation through in the east and away days in the Scottish are always good, but we want to get to the next round and progress as much as we can in the Scottish Cup which is something we have failed to do in recent seasons."

Stuart said he has some contacts in the east and will be 'picking their brains' to get as much information as he can about Thistle's Scottish Cup opposition.

The tie will be played on Saturday 28 October.

The teams played the Scottish Cup in January 2004 when Ayrshire District side Largs lost 3-0 through at Sauchie, but Thistle turned the tables in 2014 with a 3-1 victory at Barrfields in the same competition.
