Barrfields boss Stuart Davidson wants his squad to put the Scottish Cup disappointment behind them, and get a victory on Saturday to put Largs back in the promotion hunt.
After three defeats in a row, the Largs gaffer admits it has not been good enough, and is looking for the players to stand up and be counted against Darvel on Saturday, 2pm kick-off at home.
Stuart said: “We need a big reaction - the players need to show the mental strength. The players have shown us a good reaction in the past to losing, less so recently, so we need to change that. We are still in a decent position in the league, but it is no good saying that, we need to go out and get a win. I feel confident that we can turn it around.”
Reflecting on the cup defeat. he added: “The first half was even, but we might have edged it, and the second half I thought we reacted great to losing the early goal.
"I thought we had a good goal by Scott Adam chopped off for offside. Scott was on an onside position, but Creag Little was not, and the linesman put his flag up. I thought it was harsh.
“We are just missing out on the rub of the green at the moment, but we need to keep working hard.”
The Thistle boss thanked the great support who travelled through to Sauchie on Saturday.
“We have had a difficult situation in relation to injuries and some players have had to play on with injuries. Sean Graham ended up in hospital on Saturday evening after a collision with one of his players.
"We have had injury problems with the keepers in recent weeks, and hopefully Ross Lundy will be back for the weekend.”
