After being reduced to ten men last Saturday, Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has praised his players for bagging a precious point against Darvel after having seemingly thrown the game away.
The compelling clash at Barrfields Park finished 3-3.
"It was the craziest nine minutes in football I have ever seen" admitted Stuart, after Largs lost a 2-0 lead, Darvel moved 3-2 up, and missed a penalty, while Laurie McMaster was red carded towards the end of the first half.
Although Stuart was unhappy about Thistle's lapse of concentration, taking their foot off the pedal, which led to Darvel's dramatic fightback, he reckons Largs showed their bottle in the second half to take the game to Darvel, and nearly came from a dramatic contest with full points.
Stuart was critical of the referee decision to award Darvel a penalty after an Iain Fisher challenge, but had no complaints about the second spot-kick decision, saying that Laurie's enthusiasm 'got the better of him'.
