Both sets of players endured all four seasons in one day with hail, sleet, sunshine and rain throughout the afternoon, but it was the storm clouds that rest over Largs, sitting at bottom of the table, while Maybole continue to shine as they moved into second spot in the league.
But in reality, there was little to choose between the sides in a highly competitive and clean game.
Thistle will rue a missed penalty in the second half that could have turned this match, while Maybole were delighted to get the win and cheered exultantly at the full-time whistle.
