Largs golfer wins boys West title

Colin Robinson with Bob Torrance
Largs Golf Club member Colin Robinson won the the West of Scotland Boys Strokeplay at Balmore Golf Club.
Robinson was tied for the lead after a first round 69; however a second round of 67 saw him win by 6 shots.
In accepting the prize Colin paid tribute to the work done by his coach Bob Torrance with whom he has worked for the past two years.
'I feel that the changes Bob has made are starting to pay off allowing me to compete at a higher level'. Fellow Largs junior David McLellan also had a top 20 finish.
Colin, 18 on Wednesday, has a handicap of 1. He is studying Sports Coaching at James Watt Inverclyde Campus.
He also captained the Ayrshire team that was second in the Scottish Boys Area Team Championship this month. He was 3rd in the individual competition.
