Reffin' nightmare for Thistle! VIDEO

It wasn't a dirty game.

That was manager Sandy MacLean's response to the incredible finish to the Largs Thistle Vs Pollok clash in which four of his men were red carded.

Referee Ian Craig seemed to hit the panic button as cards were flying like confetti in the final minutes of this Stagecoach Premier clash.

An injury to Tom Jamieson after Largs had used all their subs, meant Largs were only able to field SIX players by the end of this contest.

The Barrfields side were looking like grabbing a point at the end of the second half as they were 2-1 down but had squandered some good chances and had thrown everyone into the Pollok box.

However, a quick break from home side resulted in Largs keeper Stephen Connick pulling down Paul McAulay in the box sparking the red rage. Despite the forward recovering to poke the ball home, the ref pulled the game back and dismissed Connick.

All hell broke loose at this point as cards were flashed to Gary Davidson and Ross McMillan, while Tom Jamieson was carried off the pitch after colliding with one of his own players.

Thistle ended up losing 3-1.

I thought the rules were if you had less than 7 men the game would be stopped?
