There is under two weeks to go until Inverclyde Sports Centre's Sport Relief event which will launched by a Graham Randall MBE, a Commonwealth gold medal winner in Judo. The event takes place on Sunday 21 March.
There will be a mass warm up commencing at 10.45am with cheerleaders ,pipe band etc,. The race commences at 11am, with Graeme Randall MBE and Commonwealth Games Go1d Medallist in Judo.
The event will be situated within the grounds of the centre.
All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world's poorest countries. It has a unique history of dedicated people doing extraordinary things to make a difference - from David Walliams' swim across the English Channel, to Eddie Izzard's amazing marathon a day around the UK.
Inverclyde gym coach Duncan Liddell said: "Come in fancy dress and join in the fun with the Inverclyde red devils walk, jog or run the 1.3 or 6 miles. We hope that we get a lot of local support for this fabulous cause."
You can register on-line at www.sportsrelief.com or contact Duncan on 674666 for more details.
