On Saturday 30 May, Scottish golfing legend Bob Torrance will officially open the revamped golf practice facility at the sportscotland national centre Inverclyde.
Master Golf Coach Torrance, who is widely recognised as the man behind Padraig Harrington"s stunning Open victory (see picture), is based at the national centre in Largs and will be one of the first to make full use of the new facilities.
Torrance said: 'The improvements are a welcome addition to the facilities here at Inverclyde and will make a huge difference to the many golfers, including my pupils, who use the centre on a regular basis.
'I look forward to continuing my long association with the centre.' The upgrade to the facility includes a new extension incorporating two coaching bays with adjoining professionals" area, changing rooms, a video analysis room and an extension to the course itself.
The official opening at 1.30pm will be followed by an open day where golfers of all ages and abilities are invited to view the new facilities and see all that the sportscotland national centre Inverclyde has to offer. PGA Golf professionals will be on hand to provide tips and advice.
