Let’s Get Moving!

Move Week is a European initiative, funded by ISCA, to get 20 million more Europeans active by 2020!

Sportscotland’s National Training Centre at Inverclyde, in partnership with Move Week, is excited to announce that they will be hosting a community open day on Saturday 12 October, 9am until 6pm.

Variety of activities The centre will be opening up its facilities to the local community and clubs to come and try a variety of fun activities. It’s all about introducing children and adults alike to new sports and activities, making them more active, more often. All activities and use of selected facilities will be free on this special day, so come along and make the most of it!

Local clubs, such as Largs Archery Club and Largs Gymnastics Club, will be running taster sessions throughout the day, and instructors in Street Dance, Taekwondo and Krav Maga will lead you through introductory sessions – no previous experience (or co-ordination) necessary!

The centre will also be delivering golf, tennis and the Largs fitness team will be at their motivational best delivering a variety of fitness classes. Come rain or shine, there will be something for all ages and abilities, so let’s get moving!
