Exciting young Largs swimming prospect Jennifer King was delighted to receive the opportunity of holding the Queen's Baton when it visited Inverclyde Sports Centre.
The teenager said: “It was a really good experience and a definitely a great spur for me because a lot of my friends are competing in the Commonwealth Games. It is a really great turnout. It was quite a surprise when I got selected to hold the baton. I am aiming to compete in the next Commonwealth Games in four years time in Gold Coast in Australia, and this is a great incentive for me.”
