Largs swimming talent Jennifer King was proud to represent Scotland during the recent 17th Euro Meet in Luxembourg.

Jennifer, who is a member of the North Ayrshire Swimming Club, travelled abroad for the prestigious event which is a qualifier for the World Championships, and took place from 29-31 January.

Demonstrating her speed in the pool, the Largs Academy pupil swam in 400IM, 200 Free, 400 Free, and 200 Back.

She made the B final of the the 200 back and triumphed. Mireia Belmonte of Spain, European champion, and Michael Jamieson among others were there.

Margaret Dickson, spokeswoman for North Ayrshire Swim Club, said: “This is a top level meet and a qualifier for the World Championships. It was a great experience for Jennifer and the Scottish Youth Squad to be away from home as a team and rubbing shoulders with the top swimmers from Europe.” For more swim reports, see page 46.
