Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition
Just a few days remain to enter Specsavers' annual Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition, to be in with the chance of winning a year's modelling representation by Storm Model Management.
With the overall winner also scooping a fortnight in the Caribbean, this year's Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition was launched by actress and model Kelly Brook and is open to men and women aged 16 and over who wear glasses whether as an optical necessity or fashion accessory. The competition runs until Saturday 31 July in all Specsavers stores and at www.specsavers.co.uk/competition.
Kelly Brook says: 'I have always been envious of people who need to wear glasses! I wear them purely for fashion and have done since I was a teenager. I have a fantastic pair that I found in a vintage store in London which I wear loads.'
Store director Gillian McCreadie, from Specsavers in Largs, says: 'We see so many people in store who look amazing in their specs and want to see all specs wearers in Largs enter this competition to show that people in Largs have specs appeal."
"It would be fantastic if this year's winner came from Largs. We've already received an impressive number of entries, which is good news for our chosen charity Kidscape, as every entry means a £1 donation from Specsavers, so thank you to everyone so far and don't forget you can also nominate a friend for the competition online."
Entries can be made by visiting any Specsavers store or by logging on to www.specsavers.co.uk/competition
