Scottish Opera

Clyde & the Isles Branch is delighted to announce that renowned Scottish baritone Donald Maxwell, who will be singing in Scottish Opera's new production of Janacek's The Adventures of Mr Broucek in Glasgow in April, is generously donating his time to come to Knock Castle on Wednesday 17 March.

Donald will talk about this relatively unfamiliar opera, illustrated by extracts of the wonderfully rich score. His stories about life in the world of opera are legendary and his presentation is sure to be a lot of fun. His talk will be followed by drinks and nibbles and a chance to meet Donald personally in an informal atmosphere. There will also be a raffle. The organisers would like to thank Mr & Mrs B. Walker of Knock Castle for kindly hosting this event. For tickets, please call 01475 522022 or email dorabeet@aol.com.
