Pictured during the Sunday afternoon rehearsals for Largs Operatic’s “Hello Dolly!”, were three budding new performers.

While the club has been busy preparing for next week’s production, some club members have been busy making productions of their own!

Pictured left to right, below, posing for the camera, are little Holly Wilkin, (16 weeks), daughter of the well-known actors Matt and Karen; Harris Park (8 weeks), baby son of the popular Andy and Jacquie.

This was actually Harris’s third rehearsal and the only one he almost managed to stay awake for! On the right is Holly Kyle (10 weeks), first daughter of Jennifer and Matthew and the main reason why Jennifer is not performing on stage this year.

No one can say that The Largs Amateur Operatic Society do not provide “family entertainment”!

That’s what they will be doing under the direction of producer Irene Cameron and musical director Dave Edwards at Barrfields Pavilion Theatre from Wednesday to Saturday.

‘Hello Dolly’ is set in early 20th century New York with Janine Millward in the lead role of Dolly Levi who plays at matchmaking with Horace Vandergelder, Yonkers’ most successful businessman, played by John McKenzie making his debut for the Operatic Society.

Andy Park and Matt Wilkin will provide plenty of comedy alongside Ruth Donaldson as hat shop owner Irene Molloy, and Minnie Fay, played by Morag Robertson, one of the great voices in the show.
