In a weekend fit for Bear Grylls, the Kelburn Ranger’s have put together a weekend of bushcraft activities for children of all ages.

On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August, you can learn how to build a fire, construct shelters and live off the land in a fun and educational programme of events, complete with activities and specially devised participation games.

Ranger Jo Turner, from Largs, who is leading the event said, “The Bushcraft weekend is back by popular demand!” She continued: “It doesn’t matter if you have learned any survival skills before or not, there is always something new to add to your knowledge and you never know when you might need them.” This is just part of a day out at Kelburn Estate. When you add all this to the existing attractions of Horse Riding & Trekking, The Children’s Indoor Play Barn, The Secret Forest, The Adventure Course, Small Animal Area, Animal Walk, Falconry Displays, Treasure Hunts, natures trails, health walks, retro participation games, castle tours, The Cartoon Exhibition and revamped museum, there is plenty to see and do!
