Are you ready for bats, moths and things that go squeak in the night?

Kelburn Country Estate is to stage a Ranger lead bat, moth and nocturnal wildlife event for visitors this weekend, the 22 and 23 August. Please note that this is a daytime event.

Visitors of all ages can learn more about the bats who can feast on over 3,000 midges every night.

Then there’s moths and how to catch them for identification plus general information on nocturnal Scottish wildlife.

There will be a bat and moth display and even bat face-painting for anyone who wants to join in the fun.

Ranger, Jo Turner, from Largs, said: “It’s going to be great fun and educational too.” She continued: “We’re all going bat bonkers getting the event ready for the visitors and there’s a lot of moth mayhem too; it’s amazing what you can find out about our nocturnal wildlife!” For more details, go to www.kelburnestate.com or call 01475 568685.Kelburn Country Estate is to stage a Ranger lead bat, moth and nocturnal wildlife event for visitors this weekend, the 22 and 23 August - please note that this is a daytime event.
