Inverclyde Voices was founded by Palma Allan MBE in September 2005 to allow senior pupils who wanted to continue singing after leaving the Inverclyde Schools’ Junior and Senior Choirs having enjoyed up to eight years vocal training through the Inverclyde Choral Development Programme.

As part of the choir’s 10th anniversary celebrations there are two special events in September – 10th anniversary concert in Greenock Town Hall on 12th September at 7.30pm with special guests the Inverclyde Schools’ junior Choir, The Wherries and the Noteworthy Pitch-Hikers barbershop group. This will be an evening of old favourite songs with tickets for this event available from the Beacon Box Office. The choir is also hosting a dinner dance on 26th September in Greenock Town Hall for choir members and family and friends.

Inverclyde Voices also participate in the Inverclyde Music Festival each year supporting their celebration of musical talent and were highly commended in the BBC Choir of the Year 2014 competition in Glasgow City Halls as part of the “Big Sing”. Before the summer break this year,
