Flower Show entries needed for next week

The Largs and District Horticultural Society will be hosting its annual Largs Flower Show next month with entries needed by the end of next week.

The annual event takes place on Friday 20 August 2.30pm-6pm and Saturday 21 August 10am - 4pm, at Dunn Memorial Hall in Largs. Admission is by donation and a tearoom and homebaking is available while there is a raffle and other competitions and a presentation of prizes.

Staging of exhibits takes place on Thursday 19 August from 3pm - 9pm and on Friday 20 August from 7.30am. Exhibits must be staged no later than 9.30am as judging starts at 10am. Members of the Society will be on hand to help with the staging.

To enter the Flower Show you have to be member. The Society also holds a collection of gardening encyclopedias and books (from the late John Smith, Willowbank) that are available for members to borrow.
