St. Columba’s Parish Church is hosting a ‘Summer Fayre – Summer Extravaganza’ on Saturday, and organisers are taking a positive stance on our unique Clyde coast climate!

The fayre will be held this Saturday 8 August from 10am-4pm, and the theme this year is ‘Summertime’, in the hope of inducing some good weather!

Attractions include a wide variety of stalls, both indoors and out, a barbecue and tearoom, which will serve tea, coffee and home baking all day.

In addition, there will be a number of outdoor attractions for all ages. The ceilidh band, Chanty Dyke, will play a selection of Scottish music in the morning and will be followed in the afternoon by ‘Little and Large’ ‘Entertainment’ who will provide disco music. There will be summertime games for children at 2pm and the main attraction is ‘The Minions’ who are coming along to take part in the games!

The day is a must for children as there will be a range of arts and crafts, games and face painting on offer all day.

A variety of competitions and lucky draws are planned. A large number of prizes have been donated by local businesses and winners will be announced by their DJ Paul at 3.45pm.

This is a day which is planned to offer something for the whole community – fun and fellowship is guaranteed!
