On Friday 24 October at 8pm, a special concert will be held in The Cathedral of The Isles.
The fine young Scots violinist Feargus Hetherington accompanied by Gavin Brady (piano) will give a performance of music by Brahms and John Ireland. This will be the last concert of the year in The Cathedral and music-lovers from the island and the mainland are welcome to attend and the connecting bus for the late ferry leaves Millport pier at 10.10pm. Feargus is a wonderful player who communicates his love of music to an audience. Gavin, his accompanist, is also Scottish but has recently been working in Berlin. Together they will give a delightful evening of music.
There will be a retiring collection for the Musical Resources Fund but there is no charge for entrance. The concert will be attended by members of the Friends of The Cathedral of The Isles, who will hold their AGM at the College on Saturday morning.
