If you have inspired by the northern lights hitting Scotland this week, for a great night of stargazing and fascinating lectures on the wonders of outer space, why not head to Muirshiel Country Park for one of their free monthly events.
There will be one session a month from October until March taking place on Friday evenings from 7-9pm. The next event is on Friday 26 October and will include the subject of great astronomy pioneer 'William Herschel', The events are hosted in collaboration with staff from the Coats Observatory in Paisley.
The staff bring a fantastically powerful telescope. Book your free place now by calling 01505 842 803. If the weather is not suitable for outdoor star gazing there will be an indoor presentation.
