Cumbrae Contemporary Poetry Society invites lovers of poetry to come and read and listen to the famous Goofy MacSwoon on any perspectives of love this Saturday 29th November. Love in any form is welcome. It may be between lovers, family members, for a pet or lost one or love between comrades and team members fallen on the field. Love both with humour or serious insightfulness, in all it’s joy and sadness, is the scope.

The meeting will take place at the Garrison ‘Gold Fish Bowl,’ at 11 am till 1pm in Cumbrae. This event is the closing session for what has been a very successful season. The Cumbrae Contemporary Society will open again on the second Saturday of April 2018.

Have you a favourite love poem to read? Something from the classics by, D.H Lawrence, Robert Burns, Christina Rossetti, Adrian Henry, Thomas Hardy, Dylan Thomas, Wendy Cope, E.E. Cummings, Emily Dickinson or Pablo Neruda for instance? You may decide to even use the lyrics of your favourite love song. Or even better, bring your own contemporary poems to share with the group. Come and ‘make love, not war.’

Coffee and cake will be available.
