Barrfields Theatre is hoping for a barrel-load of laughs this Friday as its hosts the first in a series of Largs comedy nights.

Some of the top comedians in Scotland are set to be performing, and it could be the perfect recipe for overcoming the 'January blues'!

The MC is Scott Gibson who is a naturally skilful and riveting raconteur. Scott mixes a conversational style with his own unique brand of dark humour, gloriously bad language and shrewd observations.

His brush with mortality galvanised him into becoming a stand-up and inspired the show Life After Death, which won the 33-year-old the Edinburgh Comedy Best Newcomer Award at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe.

The support act Rosco McClelland was Scottish Comedian of the Year Winner 2016 and one of the hottest new talents on the UK circuit, and described as "Scotland’s finest underground comedy talent” .

And the headline act is Gary Little who is one of the most consistent and funny acts in Scottish comedy. He is recognised as a master storyteller, and is a regular headliner at many of the top comedy clubs in the UK.

A regular at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, his 2013 and 2014 shows were the fastest selling shows in the programme, requiring an unprecedented four additional nights added to the run.

Despite his imposing physical presence – a 6’ 2” skinhead – Gary has an incredibly personable, relatable style. Combine that with his unflinching honesty and openness - and just a hint of vulnerability – and audiences everywhere fall in love with his easy charm. He has that rare gift which to turn mundane, every-day experiences into pure comedy gold, which will have you simply crying with laughter.

The comedy club will run on the third Friday of the month every two months.
