Clubhouse Centenary A celebration with a difference takes place at Millport Golf Club on Saturday 27 June when the members will assemble for a photograph to replicate that which was taken in June 1909 on the occasion of the opening of the Clubhouse by Lord Glasgow.
To celebrate the unusual centenary, a family fete will be held at the golf club from 2pm to 5pm, with many activities and competitions for all the family to enjoy.
It is hoped that as many members and friends as possible will assemble in front of the clubhouse at 5pm, for the re-creation of the original photograph - but 1909 style of clothing will not be required. Thereafter there will be a Scottish theme Night in the Clubhouse at which the group 'The Rascals' will provide the entertainment.
